Installation & Activation

Installing ThankRedirect takes just a few minutes. This guide walks you through every method, from the WordPress dashboard to a manual upload, so you can get up and running quickly.

Before You Install

Make sure your site meets these requirements:

• WordPress: 6.2 or higher
• WooCommerce: 7.9.0 or higher (must be installed and active)
• PHP: 7.3 or higher

ThankRedirect requires WooCommerce to be installed and activated before it will work. If WooCommerce is missing or out of date, ThankRedirect will display a warning in your admin area and will not run.

Method 1: Install from the WordPress Plugin Directory (Free Version)

1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin
3. In the search box, type ThankRedirect
4. Find the plugin in the results and click Install Now
5. Once installed, click Activate

After activation, WordPress will automatically redirect you to the ThankRedirect Getting Started page.

Method 2: Upload a ZIP File (Free or Pro)

Use this method if you downloaded the plugin ZIP directly from WordPress.org or from your purchase confirmation email (Pro version).

1. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin
2. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page
3. Click Choose File and select the wc-thank-you-page.zip file
4. Click Install Now
5. After installation completes, click Activate Plugin

Activating a Pro Licence

If you purchased the Pro version, you need to activate your licence to unlock premium features.

1. After activating the plugin, go to ThankRedirect in the left sidebar
2. Look for the licence activation section, click Activate Licence or Log In
3. Log in to your Oxilab account or enter your licence key
4. Click Activate to confirm

Once activated, all Pro features will be unlocked immediately, no page reload required.

You can manage your licence, view your purchase history, and download the latest Pro version any time from your Oxilab account dashboard.

Verifying the Installation

After activation, you should see:

• A ThankRedirect menu item in your WordPress left sidebar (below WooCommerce)
• No error notices at the top of your admin pages
• The Getting Started page loads when you first visit the plugin

If you see a warning about WooCommerce not being installed, activate WooCommerce first and then return to ThankRedirect.

Updating the Plugin

ThankRedirect updates follow the standard WordPress update process:

• Free version updates appear automatically in Dashboard → Updates
• Pro version updates are delivered through your Oxilab account, and you’ll see them in the same Updates screen once your licence is active

Pro tip: Always back up your site before updating any plugin. Your ThankRedirect settings are stored in the WordPress database and will be preserved across updates.

Uninstalling

To remove ThankRedirect, go to Plugins → Installed Plugins, click Deactivate next to ThankRedirect, then click Delete. Your WooCommerce orders and products are not affected in any way.
