Plugin Settings Overview
The Flipbox plugin has a dedicated Settings page for global configuration options that apply to the entire plugin — not just individual flip boxes. These settings control things like who can manage flip boxes, whether Font Awesome and Google Fonts are loaded, and admin display preferences.
How to Access Settings
- Log in to your WordPress admin.
- In the left sidebar, click Flipbox.
- Look for the Settings tab or menu item within the Flipbox section.
Settings Overview
1. User Permission
Setting name: Who can manage this plugin
This setting controls which WordPress user role has access to the Flipbox plugin in the admin dashboard. By default, only Administrators can manage flip boxes.
You can change this to allow other roles (Editor, Author, etc.) to create and edit flip boxes. This is useful if you have a content team and want non-admin users to manage flip box content without giving them full administrator access.
See Managing User Permissions for a full guide.
2. Load Font Awesome
Options: Yes / No
Controls whether the Flipbox plugin loads the Font Awesome CSS on pages that display flip boxes.
- Yes (default) – Font Awesome is loaded automatically. Required if you use Font Awesome icons in your flip boxes.
- No – Font Awesome is not loaded by Flipbox. Use this option if your theme or another plugin already loads Font Awesome — loading it twice can slow down your page.
3. Load Google Fonts
Options: Yes / No
Controls whether the Flipbox plugin loads Google Fonts CSS on pages that display flip boxes.
- Yes (default) – Google Fonts are automatically loaded for fonts you’ve set in your flip box typography settings.
- No – Google Fonts are not loaded by Flipbox. Use this if your theme already loads the same fonts, or if you want to manage font loading yourself for performance reasons.
4. Display Support Message
Options: Yes / No
Controls whether a support/feedback message is displayed in the WordPress admin area.
- Yes (default) – A support message or prompt is shown in the Flipbox admin section.
- No – The support message is hidden. Use this for a cleaner admin experience if you don’t need it.
